Sophia and Helena's Splash Project Blog!!!

Day 1
First we all met up at the Camden town hall where we got introduced to Bekki and Sam. Then Becki explained to us what Underwater Archeology is. Underwater Archeology is a study of past human life such as physical remains and cultures associated with water. At 11am we arrived at the British Museum to look at many artifacts from ancient times. We looked at many artifacts such as Roman Amphora's. Then at 1:30pm we went on the coach to go to the London Archaeological archive & research centre. We met a women called Nathalie who gave us an introduction on foreshore and tidal archaeology. We then played activities based on foreshore archaeology.

Day 2
On our second day of our splash project we all arrived at the London School of Diving in Acton,West London by Coach. At 10am we got an introduction by two people named Sarah and Martin. After they explained the fire and behaviour we got into the pool and had a introduction about the scuba equipment and brief while we were in the pool.
Day 3
On our third of our Splash project we all met up at Gordon Square so the Coach can take us to Fort Cumberland in Portsmouth. First we arrived at storage of munitions where a woman called Sarah showed as a slide show about many methods that underwater archaeologists use to measure and draw wrecks on the seabed. Then we had tour around the fort and did some recording shipwrecks cannon, identification. Finally we did some object/artefact's identification.

Day 4

On our fourth day of our Splash project we all had to go back to the London School of Diving to put all of our practising of Scuba diving into the pool. Mark who we met on the third day of our project came with us and took pictures and videos of us underwater scuba diving.

Day 5

On our last day of our Splash project we all arrived at The City Learning Center at 9:45 am. We then went up to start our presentations on our week. most of us worked in pairs. one person would do the blog and the other would do the movie.
